Augmented Reality test drive

Project Overview

Creative and conceptual development of the CX-5 live drive experience. The idea was to create the first AR (Augmented reality) test drive experience for Mazda customers. This experience was linked up through social networks like Facebook where their friends could watch and choose the challenges they had to complete.

Virtual 3D objects were projected on the driver’s windscreen and mapped onto the road surface via satellite tracking. The driver then had to avoid the obstacles and complete the slalom, gear and brake challenges, the results at the end were compiled and sent to your mobile app and friends via Facebook.

We pitched the conceptual video to Mazda and they loved it! They are now underway prototyping turning it into reality!
